Lindsay Lohan cuts pictures of herself out of tabloids

Sources on the set of US television show Ugly Betty say the actress - who has had several cameo roles on the programme - would 'obsessively' snip photos for a scrapbook.

It comes as her stint on the hit has been cut from six episodes to four amid rumours of tensions with star America Ferrera on set.

A source told the New York Post: "[Lindsay] would obsessively cut pictures of herself out of the tabloids like she was creating some sort of scrapbook and refused to go on set until America was there - it was a power play.

"It was a mess. Lindsay would show up every day with an entourage of people. She smoked 24/7, and after she left, they had to repaint her dressing room it was such a mess."

A representative for the 22-year-old Mean Girls star confirmed the actress' run on the show has been shortened - but insists the decision was amicable.

The spokesperson said: "Lindsay was scheduled for six episodes and is appearing in four but had a lovely time."

Ferrera's representative has also played down reports of ill feeling between the pair, saying: "America is grateful to have had her on the show and thinks everyone should tune in to see how great the episodes are."
